Admission is FREE, and no reservations or tickets are required, though donations will be gladly accepted at the door.

Due to construction renovations at Hufnagle Park this year, all 3 performances will be INDOORS this year, at RiverStage Community Theatre’s auditorium at Greenspace Center, 815 Market Street, in Lewisburg. For the safety of all patrons, including those not yet eligible to be vaccinated, all audience members will be seated with social distancing precautions in place and required to wear face covering masks while indoors.

“THE TEMPEST” tells the story of Prospero, the sorcerer and former Duke of Milan, who uses magic to conjure a storm and torment the survivors of a shipwreck, including his treacherous brother and the King of Naples. The travelers awaken on a fantastical island where nothing is as it seems, and before long, the King’s son Ferdinand is falling in love with Prospero’s daughter, Miranda, forcing the magician to choose between his own revenge and his daughter’s future….

This production is directed by Ben Hartman and features a stellar cast of 13 local actors and actresses, including Andrew Shaffer (Prospero), Storm Pryor (Miranda), Emily Ayn Bowen (Ariel), William Martel (Caliban), Ian Keefer (Ferdinand), Ben Hartman (Alonso), Pete Zerbe (Antonio), Jessica Charles (Sebatian), Katrina DelVecchio (Gonzolo), John Stone (Boatswain), Niccdemus Charles (Adrian/Francisco), Nick Buckman (Trinculo), and Ellen McCormick (Stephano).
