For the first time ever, RiverStage is excited to welcome the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble (BTE) as they venture from their home to bring this laugh-out-loud comedy to our stage in Lewisburg!  A rollicking plot of overlapping love triangles, mistaken identities, and musical merry pranksters are all brought to you in Shakespeare’s rich language.

In William Shakespeare’s TWELFTH NIGHT, Shipwrecked Viola washes up on the shores of Illyria, mourning her twin brother, Sebastian, whom she thinks has died in the wreckage. Viola disguises herself in his clothes and joins the service of the Duke, Orsino. The Duke is infatuated with Countess Olivia, who continues to reject his advances, so he sends Viola (in the guise of Cesario) to woo Olivia. Olivia ends up falling for Viola in disguise! When attraction blooms between Viola and Orsino and Viola’s brother Sebastian (who is not dead) appears, chaos ensues, leading to mistaken identities, accidental duels, and hilarious revelations!

This production is directed by Tara Bradway, and stars BTE company members Arianna Daniels, Kimie Muroya, Elizabeth Dowd, Aaron White and Amy Rene Byrne, and special guest artists Diamond Marrow, Michael Covel, Sean Lounsbury, Coleman Shu-Tung and Bruce Gomez.

Don’t miss this classic favorite told for today’s audiences!  Twelth Night is rated GA – For General Audiences: Mild Comic Violence
